How to Find (and Customize) Your Custom Zoom Link
Ever scrambled to find your personal Zoom link right before a study group, club meeting, or catch-up with friends? You are not alone. Digging through endless chat logs or emails just to find a meeting URL can be a headache.
Fortunately, Zoom gives you a permanent virtual hangout spot known as your Personal Meeting ID (PMI) and a Personal Link. Once you know where to look—and how to personalize it—you will never have to hunt for a link again.
Method 1: Finding It on the Zoom Desktop App (The Quickest Way)
If you already have the Zoom app installed on your computer, finding your link takes just a few clicks:
- Open and sign in to your Zoom desktop app.
- Click on the Meetings tab near the top or side of the window.
- Look for your Personal Meeting ID (PMI) panel—usually displayed on the left side or top-right corner.
- Here, you will see your permanent meeting ID and your full invite link. Click Copy Invitation or hover over the link to copy it straight to your clipboard so you can paste it anywhere.
Method 2: Finding and Customizing It on the Web Portal
If you want to view, change, or create a truly custom URL (like zoom.us/my/yourname), you will need to use the web browser version.
